Welcome to our very first knowCAP. This is an encapsulation of things we are doing, releasing, vibing off of and feel like sharing at this moment in time. Some of it’s serious, some of it’s entertaining and some will make you laugh or cringe… Or maybe both at the same damn time. This is a journey we hope you enjoy riding along with and witnessing its evolution. We’ll see you at Capsule 01999 and every stop along the way!
END HATE - Capsule Release, Thurs. 4/15/21
This hate shit has to stop. We’re not delusional, we don’t think all hate can be obliterated from the face of the earth and we’ll then live in an eternal love fest. But we (you, me and all of our friends) can make moves to take the power out of hate.
So that brings us to the question, “We’re a clothing brand, what can we do?” Obvious answer, make clothes and get money to organizations helping those affected by hate crimes.
We’re dropping our first END HATE collection next Thursday. These are well designed pieces utilizing graphics, typography and technology in our best effort to create pieces that align with your aesthetic and relative to your lifestyle whilst spreading the extremely important message to END HATE.
20% of all proceeds will go to the two non-profits our team has decided to contribute to. The first is ADL. The Anti Defamation League has been fighting hate since 1913, we want some of our money to go to their relentless fight. The second non-profit is noit.org. This is a grassroots organization creating “Stop Hate Action Kits” and resources for everybody (like you and me) to battle hate.
THE BALI BRUTALIST BEDROOM DJ
Being a bedroom DJ in a brutalist house in Bali is pretty much the culmination of all the boxes checked on the bucket list. I found this photo in Dezeen and it instantly sent me into a daydream right there at my desk. Chillin’ in an open-air house in Bali, playing records after an epic surf sesh and just before picking my own mangos and bananas for my smoothie.
Everybody needs a vintage PSG jersey in their life. It’s like saying, “I fuck with Paris, not the Paris you all know… The culture. I fuck with the culture.” If you've never heard of Vielle Rue Vintage, now you have... check em out in the link below. Here's there IG just in case you need that too @vieille_rue
You know we couldn’t launch a newsletter in 2021 called knowCAP and not have some NFT post in the premier issue. We’ve aptly inserted the obligatory NFT post with news of 6ix9ine’s NFT release. If you cop his first NFT release from 6ix9ine we need to know. To make up for your loss we’ll send you a package of free Official to hopefully ease your buyers remorse.
She's a DJ, dancer, and choreographer based in Los Angeles California. We've never met Mary but we did catch her in some Official gear and had to give a shoutout! Show some love on her page.
THAT ONE TIME LIL WAYNE WORE OUR OFFICIAL F.U. HAT COURTSIDE
This has to be back in 2009. Before Truckfit Wayne had a stylist that was up on everything. She hollered at us for some Official and we sent a proper box. It got passed around Young Money as Lil Chuckee and Nicki Minaj rocked pieces out of that box as well.
#00001 – THAT'S A WRAP
That’s it, that’s the first issue! Can’t wait to keep growing this. Collecting your feedback is key. Please let us know what you want to see more of, don’t want to see. Anything that can help us to improve the value of our capsules.
This issue explores co-working in an eco village in Costa Rica, a bit of back story on our NFT platform, StockX skate team, Nyjah's new board company and when in the hell are we all going to Lambo?
Issue 10 is here and we have a pretty major announcement. We're not quite full-blown press release status yet so you're getting an early heads-up on how we're about to become the world's first Decentralized Streetwear brand. All of us at Official® are firm believers that we can all make the world a better place through decentralization. We can sit around and wait for things to change or we can just begin doing it ourselves.
